First Aid and Basic Trauma Care

Access to basic first aid and trauma care is not available to these refugees. Haven visited the different camps in Cross River State in Nigeria, we saw that there is a high need to make sure that these displace persons at least have access to basic medications like Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, Pepto Bismuth, anti-diarrhea and wound care supplies like iodine, normal saline, cotton, topical antibiotic ointments which can help stabilize a situation before transportation to the hospital for further assessment and care. CRRI plans on making available these basic supplies to the local first aid center, Catholic sisters affiliated with the Holy Family Hospital and other designated health centers where these refugees have access to.
