Access to clean water is another challenge for these refugees. CRRI believes that good health begins with the basic – clean affordable water. CRRI plans to partner with other organizations to provide access to clean affordable water which in turn will help in the prevention of water born illnesses like diarrhea, dysentery, Cholera, and even Hepatitis A.
Having a decent meal is what we most take for granted every day because we do not even think about it as it is easily accessible. These refugees do not have access to a decent meal. Eating one meal a day is a luxury. During our last visit to these camps, hunger was rated top as the biggest complaint of almost everyone we spoke to. We saw people walking four hours one way to make it to a center to get whatever little amount of food that was being distributed. CRRI plans on partnering with other organizations to provide food to these displaced persons on a regular basis.
