Support for Educational Needs

Since 2016 when the crisis broke, schools in the Anglophone Regions have basically been shut down with some of them burnt to the ground. This has made it impossible for children of school going ages to continue with their education especially as there is no security for student s and teachers who risk being killed, arrested or abducted at any moment.
Worse still is the case of the refugees who have had to flee to neighboring countries with no resources to continue with education. It is estimated that of the number of refugees in Nigeria alone, about 40% of them are kids of school going age.
CRRI having identified this worrisome problem that might leave a whole generation of a people uneducated has decided to step in and assist kids in the refugee areas to continue schooling.
This will be archived by,
- Providing Educational supplies to kids in different settlements.
- Creating Partnerships with local educational institutions to facilitate the accommodation of these kids
- Make use of Refugees with teaching abilities to help assist other kids in the camps, where possible
- Matching sponsors to family and kids for tuition and school needs
- Encouraging informal education in these settlements by working with local organizations and groups.
- Encourage the pursuit of arts and Sporting activities, via training, competitions, etc.
